Goodman & Fineman Ltd started its journey as Harrison Enterprises Ltd, which was set up on 1st February 1965 by Benjamin and Gladys Goodman together with Will Hey and Colin Harrison. The first industrial site bought was 62/64 Northwood Street to offer factory space and workshop units to the thriving engineering industry.
Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, the company expanded its portfolio to offer workspace in the up and coming Jewellery Quarter, followed by Sydenham Road and completing its collection in 1973 and 1976 with the addition of its George Street location.
Following the death of shareholder Colin Harrison, Benjamin and Gladys Goodman together with their children Ann and Geoffrey Goodman bought out the remaining shareholders. Consequently, in 1991, the company changed its name to Goodman & Fineman Ltd.
Continuing on the family tradition, today, Ann and John Fineman together with Geoffrey and Karen Goodman are the only company directors. All have retained the values and offerings of the founders of an organisation large enough to cope, small enough to care.
